Publisher Vivendi Universal announced on Friday SWAT 4 had gone gold and would be shipped to stores in the first week of April (and worldwide a week later). SWAT 4 is a tactical simulation of police SWAT operations, such as warrant service, hostage rescue situations, and rapid deployment missions against the criminal element. In addition to the game's completion, Vivendi also announced the opening of the official SWAT 4 web site, which includes much more detail on the game and its features. For still more on the game, a single player demo was released a few weeks ago.
